Abdel Azim Attia
46 years old, Abdel is an endocrinology specialist. He was arrested on 24 July 2013 alongside his colleague Dr. Muhammad Al-Zanati. They were taken from their place of work and accused of taking part in “Rabaa Protests”. His family denies his involvement in any sort of protests, and states that he even did not attend the protest as a medic. He was sentenced to death by Egyptian courts on 14 June 2021.
