Abdul aziz al-Dukhail

Prominent saudi writer and columnist who tweeted against the financial corruption of the state, and his demand for freedom, transparency and justice before his arrest by the saudi authorities. His son also had spoken in tweets through his Twitter account that relatives were subjected to pressure and control of some of their accounts on the site. He stated that he was arrested while he was traveling to London in 2010, and the detention period reached 6 months, in order to put pressure on his father. Shortly after his release, the Saudi authorities arrested his father, and the authorities put him back in prison and he stayed for a year, and after his release from prison he traveled to France. During this period - which was in 2019 - his father was arrested for the second time, which he described as cruel, saying that his father was an old man, and was arrested despite his social status and diplomatic immunity.
