An Egyptian Journalist and former editor in chief of the famous Egyptian Journal “AL-AHRAM”.
He was arrested on 18 July 2021 for a creating a Facebook post criticizing President Al-Sisi for his stance with the conflict with Ethiopia over “Al-Nahda” Dam, and calling him to step down from office. He faces baseless charges related to joining terror groups and spreading fake news, punishing him for daring to speak against the President.
