Ahmad Santawi

A master’s student in Central Europe University, he was sentenced on 22 June 2021 to 4 years in prison on baseless terror charges, including joining a terror group, and helping them spread fake news and causing chaos in the country. He was accused of using a fake Facebook profile that spread hatred and fake news in Egypt, although there was no evidence of his involvement in such activity or any sort of relation to such a Facebook page.
