Muhammad Al-Zanati

Born in 1963, he is a general surgeon and a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood. He was arrested on 24 July 2013 following his assistance in treating the injured at “Rabaa Protest”. He was accused of taking part of the protests and being involved in the torture of police officers. He was sentenced to death by Egyptian courts on 14 June 2021 for taking part in these protests, as he offered medical aid to protestors as he followed his medical oath to help anyone in need.
